Axiom Advisors Announces Silvio Ferrari and Molly Weedn as Principals

Capitol region’s fastest-growing lobbying and public affairs firm rolls out senior-level promotions on heels of successful legislative session and election season

SACRAMENTO – Axiom Advisors, a leading public affairs, lobbying and political consulting firm based in Sacramento and Santa Barbara and specializing in issue management and advocacy, strategic and crisis communications, public policy development and ballot measure support, is proud to announce that longtime Senior Associates Molly Weedn and Silvio Ferrari have been promoted to the position of Principals within the firm.

The San Francisco-based Weedn, who joined Axiom in 2020 after serving as an in-house communications lead for Airbnb, Blue Shield of California and the California Medical Association, recently completed a triumphant election season, during which she served as Communications Director for Yes on Proposition 1 campaign (abortion access) and as Campaign Manager for Yes on Proposition 31 (ban on flavored tobacco).  Both measures won by landslide double-digit margins.

She was also part of the team that helped reach common-sense consensus on legislation to modify California’s Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act (MICRA), avoiding another costly ballot measure fight.

Ferrari has been a Senior Associate at Axiom since its founding in 2019, building a diverse and successful policy portfolio specializing in issues such as housing development, renewable energy and whole-person healthcare.  Prior to his tenure at Axiom Advisors, Ferrari was an engineer for some of the nation’s most highly regarded residential and commercial developers and honed his political skills as Vice President for the California Building Industry Association (CBIA), where he ran the association’s legislative program — then an associate with Axiom’s co-founder and managing partner Cassie Gilson at her prior firm.

Ferrari is responsible for leading a number of the firms advocacy efforts for national, international and nonprofit clients before the Legislature, Governor’s Office, and regulatory agencies across the state.

“The key to growth in our sector is identifying and elevating the best talent and that starts by looking inward,” said Cassie Gilson, Axiom Advisors Co-Founder and Managing Partner.  “Silvio and Molly have proven that they both are best-in-class professionals of the highest caliber and ethical standards who know how to win.  They are also proud Californians who know the work we are doing is helping to build a brighter future for 40 million people and the world’s fourth largest economy.  They embody Axiom’s future and we’re proud to promote them.”

Axiom Advisors was founded in 2019 by Gilson, Jason Kinney, Jared Ficker, Kevin Schmidt and Dustin Moore.  Earlier this year, the firm announced the addition of former Assemblymember Autumn Burke, also as a Principal.
